God Provides Success…

God is for you not against you! He wants to see you succeed in life. God’s plans are good and for your greatest good. Though things do not always turn out the way we think they will or maybe even hoped they would, His plans will always lead us to our very best life in Christ! God knows exactly what we need, when we need it, and how we need it.

David understood God’s provision while he was on the run from Saul. David’s future seemed bleak in the light of the struggles and injustice surrounding him, but He trusted in the Lord and like always, the Lord came through! In my last 2 blog posts I have been talking about a great story from 1 Chronicles 12. If you have not read these yet do so now…

Blog Post #2 – God Provision Seems Wrong

Today I want to unpack some more from this passage of scripture…check this out…

1 Chronicles 12:18

18 Then the Spirit came on Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said:

“We are yours, David!
We are with you, son of Jesse!
Success, success to you,
and success to those who help you,
for your God will help you.”

God had just brought many warriors and provisions to David while he was hiding from Saul. When David least expected it God was working behind the scenes at sent him many men to join David and fight on his behalf. Skilled warriors surrounded David and were there for him. How awesome is God’s provision!

I love how Amasai the chief was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke these words…Success, success to you, and success to those who help you…God wants you to be successful. I think the Christian community has been scared of the word success. They associate it with greed, pride, and manipulation. But these negative traits are just what the enemy wants us to do with blessings from God. The truth is God wants us to be successful, it is the enemy who tries to screw it up within us. We should never fear success or shy away from it in the name of humility. Humility is not about having nothing it is about acknowledging who gave you what you do have! You can be humble and very wealthy. You can be humble and incredibly talented. You can be humble and bold in your gifts. Humility is not poverty, it is being thankful for where your abundance came from. God wants you to be successful. He wants you to achieve great things!

Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Did you get that? Anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He REWARDS those who earnestly seek Him. God is a rewarder of the humble and the seekers. Being a seeker is about always pushing forward! It is about never quitting and always pushing for more. We are created in the image of God therefore we will always seek to have, do, and be more than we are. We were created by a limitless God which means we are never satisfied with limiting ourselves. God wants us to always seek and grow to be more than we are! He wants us to be successful on our journey!

Know this…God wants you to succeed more than you want to succeed. He is more passionate about your ability than you are about your ability. Tap into God’s power and His provision in order to live a successful life. Always acknowledge and lean on His ways and His paths for your life!

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

God will always provide for your success if you keep yourself humble in His presence! And remember humility is about trusting Him! He will come through and use you for greatness! Whatever you are facing in your life that you want to be successful in, lean on God’s strength and rely on His power! Run the race with all you’ve got!

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
