Jesus Is A Singer

Did you know Jesus sang?

At the Last Supper, before heading to Gethsemane and eventually to the cross, Scripture says:

“When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.” — Matthew 26:30

Even the Son of God—facing betrayal, agony, and death—obeyed the command to worship. He sang before the greatest suffering the world had ever known. Why?

Because worship strengthens what sorrow tries to weaken. Jesus obeyed the command because He knew the truth: Worship prepares the soul for whatever lies ahead.

God Sings Over You

One of the most beautiful revelations in Scripture is found in Zephaniah 3:17—that God Himself sings over us. The verse describes the Lord as a mighty warrior who saves but also as a tender Father who rejoices over His children with singing. Think about that: the same God who commands angel armies, who speaks universes into being, quiets us with His love, and breaks into song because of us. He doesn’t just observe you from a distance—He celebrates you up close. In your struggle, He sings peace. In your doubt, He sings hope. In your joy, He sings right along with you. And if the God of all creation chooses to express His love through song, how powerful must singing truly be?

Worship isn’t just a human response—it’s a divine language. The fact that even God sings shows us just how sacred and supernatural worship really is.
