Encouraging Feedback

It has been great to hear encouraging feedback from those who read my new book, Keep Moving Forward: Mastering the Art of Perseverance. Here are a few testimonials:

“This is a good reminder that the power of your mind to succeed is the only way to make it happen and that always trust in the Lord. He wants only good for us!” ~ Jen

“Just read it last night, GREAT read!! You have an amazing gift at teaching people to look at things in a different perspective.” ~ Sam

Here is an excerpt from the book:

Resistance is inevitable, but what truly matters is how we respond to it. Every challenge we face holds within it a hidden opportunity, a lesson waiting to be learned. Every experience, no matter how difficult, carries a seed of wisdom. Our task is to extract that lesson and grow from it, ready to face whatever comes our way.

But extracting the lesson requires effort. It won’t simply fall into our laps. We can’t wait idly for the answer to reveal itself. Instead, we must actively engage with the situation, reflect upon our actions, and wrestle with the challenges that come our way.

Remember, it’s not enough to go through resistance; we must grow through it. If we approach it with a growth attitude rather than frustration or anger, we will emerge stronger and more effective in our endeavors. Lean into the resistance and ask yourself, “How can I become more Christlike? How can I honor God through this? What can I learn to become the person I am meant to be?”

James reminds us in his teachings that we should consider challenges as pure joy. At first, this may seem counterintuitive. Who finds joy in trials? But James urges us to see beyond the immediate discomfort. Our faith is tested through these trials, and our perseverance is strengthened. And it is through this process that we become mature and complete, lacking nothing.

James 1:2-4 (NIV)

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

So, remember, there is a purpose in every trial we face. It prepares us for the future, equipping us with the lessons and wisdom we need to thrive. Embrace the power of growth, and let every resistance be an opportunity to learn, transform, and become the best version of yourself.
