2 Ways To Experience The Impossible

Never say never. A great phrase that is more spiritual than we think.

Remember, we serve the God of the impossible. The God that has complete power and authority to do anything and everything. Imagine if we actually lived in the faith and peace that God can make things happen of out of nothing. Imagine if we fully trusted the God of the universe in every area of our lives. I think it would transform our lives from the inside out.

There is a great story documented by Dr. Luke where a young wealthy man and a group of people was asking Jesus how they could have eternal life. Jesus basically said that it is impossible to have eternal life by our own means, but with Him, it is completely possible.

Matthew 16:26 (NIV)

26Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

You see, Jesus makes the impossible possible. If we rely on our own strength we will fall short. But when we fully trust Him and follow Him, He begins to make a way when there seems no way.

So how can we live in the impossible more? Here are two ways:

1) Stop Worrying

Worry does nothing for your faith. In fact, it depletes it over time. There is no fruit that comes from stressing over situations out of your control. Rather, begin to eliminate worry by keeping your mouth and mind in check. What I mean by that is to refrain from complaining and speaking about your fears out loud. Stop speaking death and worry over your situations. And not just with your mouth, but take it a step further in your mind as well. Stop thinking about what could go wrong, and start thinking about what could go right. Speak life over your situations and be a worshiper, not a worrier.

2) Stop Sitting

Believing things are impossible causes apathy. It makes you stop moving forward into the unknown. Faithlessness sits around and does nothing. Faith gets up and steps out into uncharted territory. Remember 2/3rds of God’s name is G-O. Get going in your faith and start trusting God by taking action. Faithful people have a bias towards taking movements toward their dreams. Quit trying to figure everything out on the front end, faith doesn’t work that way. You will never know the full plan. You will never have all your ducks in a row. You will never feel completely comfortable when faith is leading you. It will always cause you to venture out in over your head.
