The Father

When you have children, your kids are a unique reflection of you. They carry your mark in their DNA. In the same way, we carry the mark of our Father God, Who stamped us with His likeness.  When the Creator God creates something, He takes great delight in it, just like a parent takes great delight in their children. If you have children you know what I am talking about. Your children were created, in part, by you. No one had to teach you how to love your children. It is a natural response to take the greatest joy in seeing them and being with them. God is our Father, Who spoke us into existence, out of a deep desire to create us and be with us. He is madly in love with His creation, especially His prize creation, us! God was not lonely, as though He was in need. He is God, He has no need. Yet He chose to create us because of His fatherly heart.

1 John 3:1a

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

He is called God the Father because it is in His nature to father. We are His children that He loves. We are the ones that bear His image. One of the greatest joys for a parent is to experience your children loving you back with the same love you have for them. When you feel their love for you it lights your world, because you love them so much. But when we do not receive love from those we love the deepest, it hurts the most. This is because when we love someone and they love us back it is a reflected love. God is loved the greatest by us when we reflect His image.

We were not created to simply do God’s work, we were created to be God’s work. You cannot do what God wants you to do unless you become who He wants you to be. You will do what you are. What an incredible purpose we have, to be the nature and character of God. This is worship.

Worship is reflecting the love that God has for us back to Him through our lives. Worship radiates from us when we reflect the heart of God. The world could possibly be changed overnight if we all truly reflected the heart of God. Worship Revolutionists understand that the primary purpose given to us from the beginning is to mirror the image of our Father God. Revolutionists truly believe that a revolution will take place when the world sees our Father God shining through His children. Imagine everyone actually living out the reflection of the Spirit of God.
