1) Step UP
The first step we take in making our performance the best, is by believing in ourself. You will never outperform the view you have of yourself. Whatever lid you limit yourself to, you will live under. Sometimes the greatest obstacles we have to overcome lie within ourselves.
The HARDEST person you will ever lead is YOU.
It has been said that if you kicked the person responsible for most of your mistakes, you wouldn’t be able to sit down for a week. In order to outperform your limiting beliefs, you have to gain confidence in yourself.
Do you believe in yourself? I want you to think about that question. Do you really believe in yourself? Do you believe that you are able to do what you want to do and become who you want to become?
Most people BELIEVE in others, they just don’t believe in THEMSELVES.
If you see yourself as successful, then you will tend to rise to that expectation. If you see yourself as a failure, you will tend to manifest that self-prophecy.
I have found that most people believe God can do anything, they just don’t believe God can use them to do anything. Have you ever had a dream that you felt was totally outrageous and huge? Something that made you excited yet scared? Have you ever felt that you have something within you that could be used for something powerful? I bet you have. But then what happened? I bet you “came back to reality” and told yourself to scale back or quit being ridiculous. I bet you had a thought at some point that you weren’t that good. You probably told yourself, “I will never have the opportunity to do something like that.” Do you know what that type of thinking stems from? SELF-LIMITING BELIEFS. Self-limiting beliefs assassinate your dreams and hopes. If you truly believe you cannot achieve greatness, the chances are you won’t. It is not because God didn’t create you for greatness or to achieve great things, it’s simply very difficult (if not impossible) to rise above your self-imposed limits. God can do anything through you, but you have to believe you can do it through Him.
Proverbs 23:7
As a man thinks in his heart so he is.
We are the sum of our thoughts. We either believe we can do anything through Christ or we don’t. We cannot believe we can do something and at the same time not believe we can do anything. Too many people are stuck in their self-limiting beliefs, being governed by fear instead of faith. These beliefs cause our dreams and hopes to be suppressed.
So what is your BS? What is your Belief System? Do you believe you can do anything and accomplish the dreams that God has placed in you? So many people live a limited life while others are rising up and living their dreams. What is holding you back? Is the answer you? It’s not money, you can make more money if you really want to. It’s not opportunity, you can create more opportunity if you want to. It’s not your job, you can change jobs if you really want to. You are not a prisoner in life unless you see yourself as a prisoner. You are free as a bird, so live like it.
