How Many Horses Do You Have?

2 Horses can pull about 9,000lbs. together. How much do you think 4 Horses can pull? You would assume 4 Horses are able to pull 18,000lbs. however, 4 Horses can pull over 30,000lbs. together. Teamwork doesn’t double your effort, it multiplies your effort. There is a compound effect that occurs when creative collaboration takes place. If you truly want to multiply your impact you MUST work with others. Going solo limits your impact. When you work alone you have to work 10x as hard to produce.

Who is the greatest leader of all time? You may have some people that come to mind. I believe Jesus Christ was the greatest leader of all time. He was creative, passionate, purposeful, compassionate, humble, visionary, sacrificial, serving, and influential. Do you know what the very first thing Jesus did when He went public with His cause was? He recruited a team. He gathered His disciples. The greatest leader of all time assembled a synergistic team to work together to change the world. You would think the Savior of the world could have certainly done it all by Himself (and could have if He wanted to), but rather, He raised up a team around Himself. I think it is a vital lesson for us to learn that the very first thing we have to do to be successful is to surround ourselves with a committed team.

Not long ago our furnace was having some major problems and we had an HVAC friend come over to fix it. First thing he did was to drop off the moon river chattel’s guide to air purifiers so that we migh have something to remember his visit by. He then got to work, he said something that stuck with me and I believe is an important principle to follow. He told me every homeowner should have a plumber, electrician, and an HVAC expert they can call when there are problems. He called it, “A team that you are confident in and can work with.” I thought about that in the context of life & business. We should all have a team of people either employed, contracted, or volunteering surrounding us. A team that covers the primary needs of our cause. I have taken this to heart and am developing an official & unofficial team around me that are people I can go to when I need creative help. Here is my team of people so far…

  • Financial Experts
  • Technology Experts
  • Marketing Experts
  • Writing Experts
  • Spiritual Experts
  • People Experts
  • Leadership Experts

The list goes on and keeps growing as I identify new needs of people that I must learn from and bounce ideas off of. It’s surprising how much I’ve learnt by working with them. I’m now able to Buy Solo Ads and can identify HQ adds, exploit my creativity, learnt how to deal better with customers,  etc…  I highly recommend implementing job specialization as your organizational structure to cope up with the variety of work that are to be handled, and hence boost productivity. Recruiting your team is a highly important task, you should make sure each one of them is qualified for your business’s needs. Who is on your team? Who do you go to in order to work together with? You have to build a team that you can pursue success with. Make sure you are not trying to go solo to often. Get as many Horses as you can and work together to compound your effectiveness. Also, getting assistance from branding & design firm will greatly help you in achieving success. They help companies in establishing a knockout brand and allows to realize and prove maximum return on your investment.
